1st & 2nd grades Children's Ministry


Jesus called the children to him and said,
¡°Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.¡± (Luke 18:16)

Chodae Community Church has the vision of Kingdom Pioneer for the church and the community around us. Along with the vision of Kingdom pioneer, we are to remind ourselves that Jesus said about little children. Jesus welcomed children to come to know him. And also He complimented that the Kingdom of God belongs to such as Children and as those who have childlike faith in Christ.

For the first and the second grades children's ministry, we named it as ¡® Precious Jewels ministry'. As God sees His people as an apple of His eyes, we value little children as precious jewels as God's crown.

¡°On that day, the Lord their God will save them, as the flock of His people for like the jewels of a crown, they shall shine on His land.¡± (Zechariah 9:16)



•  Visions


We want to lead children to know Christ and to follow Christ.
We want children to grow in the knowledge of the Lord and in wisdom.
We want to let children love each other and relate well with adults.

We want children to be shinning lights to the community and to be able to cultivate children's faith in Christ as a precious jewel.

•  Missions

1. Knowing Christ

¡° Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, to the Lamb.¡± (Revelation 7:10)

¡°That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved¡± (Romans 10:9)

2. Growing in Christ

¡° I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge?that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.¡± (Ephesians 3:16-19)

3. Following Christ

¡°A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.¡± (John 13:34-35)

•  Four Parts in Sunday School services

1. Arrival and Welcoming children

2. Prayer & Praise
Give two rules ? when teachers speak, all children should be quiet.
New comers welcoming time before prayer
Those who follow well in praise and worship time, we may encourage them by words.

3. Bible Sharing Time
We should be read from the bible first. Always have the bible in your hand. We tell the bible stories and lessons with a visual.
Memory Scripture ? we can use something to visualize with the key scripture for the day.

4. Small Group Activities
We encourage group activities within the same age group.
